Who we are · All in for Harris County

One county.One plan.One ballot.

Turn Up and Turn Out is the Harris County Democratic Party's coordinated campaign for 2026 — a single shared field, mail, and digital operation built for every Democrat on the county ballot, from the top of the ticket down to Justice of the Peace.

With [X] volunteers already signed up and [Y] campaigns in the program, this is the largest coordinated effort Harris County Democrats have ever run.

Why it exists

Nobody wins Harris County alone

Every cycle, dozens of campaigns in this county build the exact same thing from scratch. The same turf cuts. The same walk lists. The same mail house, the same photographer, the same scramble for organizers who are already spoken for. Down-ballot and first-time candidates lose that race before the first door is knocked.

A coordinated campaign fixes the math. One walk universe instead of thirty. One mail drop instead of a dozen half-sized ones. Every dollar that stops paying for duplicate overhead goes back into voter contact — more doors, more calls, more mail, in the precincts where turnout actually decides this county.

The stakes

The biggest block of Democratic votes in Texas

Harris County is the largest county in the state and the single largest source of Democratic votes in it. Nothing statewide pencils out without this county — and nothing in this county pencils out if we run thirty separate campaigns against the same clock.

How it works

What every campaign plugs into

01

One countywide volunteer program

Trained volunteers knocking doors, working phones, and hosting events on behalf of every candidate in the program — not thirty separate volunteer lists competing for the same handful of people.

02

One shared voter file

A single voter universe, one set of turnout and persuasion scores, and one live dashboard. Every campaign in the program works from the same numbers instead of arguing about whose list is right.

03

Shared field, mail, and digital

Buy into the countywide programs at coordinated rates instead of building your own from zero. Your dollars ride on infrastructure that is already moving.

04

Organizers across the county

Staff assigned by region so no part of Harris County is an afterthought — from Third Ward and Sunnyside to Alief, Pasadena, Katy, Spring, Humble, and Baytown.

How we got here

The road to a coordinated 2026

'24

A hard look at the numbers

After the 2024 cycle we mapped turnout precinct by precinct — where it held, where it fell off, and how much county campaign capacity went into work that three other campaigns were already doing.

'25

One plan, one party

HCDP, the clubs, allied organizations, and candidates agreed on a single coordinated framework any Democratic campaign in the county could join — with a clear line between what's free and what's optional.

The operation goes live

Pods open, organizers hired, the creative library goes up, and the candidate portal opens to every Democrat on the Harris County ballot.

Election Day

Every door knocked, every call made, every piece of mail dropped through one county operation. One goal: run up Harris County and carry the whole ballot with it.
